Finding Our Warrick County, IN Ancestors

This was my family cemetery when it was first developed – the Gray Family (which eventually included the Wakelands, McMurtrys, Chapmans and Hargraves, families the “Gray girls” married into). The story has it that it was located next to the family home, as so many cemeteries were in those days. When the home was gone, apparently there was a church built – Wesley Chapel – and they took over the cemetery.
Our line of Grays started with Benjamin Gray (born in Charles County, Maryland in 1759 and died in 1839) who moved to Warrick County with his wife, Nancy, in the late 1780’s after serving in the Revolutionary War. When my cousin and I first found the cemetery about 20 years ago, we found his stone pretty quickly and then all of the others were not far from his. Unfortunately, I was very new to genealogy so I had no camera with me to take pictures of the headstones. When I found it again last year, his stone was gone and several others had been broken. And, of course, so many more were almost unreadable.
One name I can share with you is about the Gray, Child, born June 8, 1862. Her name was Vandaily. You can still almost read that in the semi-circle at the top.
I also wanted to ask you if you had any history about the cemetery. As I said before, what I have is by word of mouth, handed down through the family. It would be really nice to know if that is actual fact or not.
I would appreciate any information you can give me.
