Finding Our Warrick County, IN Ancestors
Above you will find the index to the marriages in Warrick County. Below is an explanation of what each index contains. Please use this indexes only as a guide to your research. NO CORRECTIONS will be made to the marriage records indexes. When a person looks at the original source and the online source, they should match. Corrections will be listed under "Marriage Submissions" with the submitter's email address.
Marriages 1813-1900: The marriage records came from many different sources. Names came from "Warrick County Marriages 1813-1859" by Kay Lant & Kathryn Freels (used by permission), the court records index, the WPA Supplemental Marriage Index and other sources. Many names were submitted by Tamara Kincaide and Susie Rose. Sometimes just a year was given in one record and I matched it with the entire date in another record. Other times, only last names were given, so I tried to match those with the names in the Supplemental Index. This index gives the groom's name or bride's name and date of marriage. When the court record did not list the date, I placed the envelope number in the "Date" column.
Marriages from Microfiche 1880-1907: These records were submitted by Lora Radiches from LDS microfiche. The information is listed in this order: Surname, Given Name, Sex, Color, Age, Spouse, Spouse Surname, Month, Day, Year, Father, Mother, Maiden Name, Year, Book, Page, Fiche. No spelling corrections have been made. The only records available on this site are A-K.
Supplemental Marriage Records 1880-1900: WPA Supplemental Index to the Marriage Records is the source of these records. This index gives the bride's or groom's name, father's name/ mother's maiden name, sex, race, age at next birthday, date of marriage, book & page. No spelling corrections have been made.
