Finding Our Warrick County, IN Ancestors
Pearl Berch is found on the first page of the 'Register of the Inmates
of the Orphans'Home Warrick County, Indiana' and remains an inmate in the
Orphans' Home Warrick County, Indiana until 28 May 1887 when she is first
bound out to Albert E. Barton, she is back by 11 June 1887. Pearl Berch
is then bound out to Thomas Ringham on 24 April 1889. The Articles of Apprenticeship
is dated with the wrong year. It lists 1888. However, the Register of the
Inmates of the Orphans'Home Warrick County, Indiana lists Pearl as an inmate
every quarter when the inmates are enumerated as living in the orphanage.
Note, the matron was paid 25 cents per day, per child for maintainance of
the children. Pearl is enumerated in December 1888 and March 1889 with a
note she was bound out 24 April 1889 to Thomas Ringham.
