Last Will and Testament of Larkin Bristow
State of Indiana
Warrick County In the name of the benevolent Father of
all being of sound mind and good memory I Larkin Bristow constitute and
publish this my last will and Testament revoking all former wills made
by me.
Item 1. It is my will that all my just debts be paid out of my
Estate after my death.
Item 2. That my funeral be Conducted according to my Estate.
Item 3. I give and bequeath to my Daughter Mary Ann Bristow ten
acres of land in the North East Corner of the South West Quarter
of section ten (10) Town five (5) Range nine (9) and then twenty acres
of the proceeds of my other lands and Larkin Bristow son of Jerome
Bristow deceased received one half of the above described lands or value
and if either of them dies the survivor has to have the whole.
Item 4. And to effectuate this my intention, I hereby vest my
Executor with full power and authority to dispose of my real
Estate in fee simple, or for a term of years or otherwise, in as full
and ample a manner, in every respect, as I would myself do if
living. After my Executor shall dispose of my real Estate
on terms as he sees fit and collects the money, then he shall
divide the proceeds of that land equally among my heirs to wit,
F. L. Bristow, Nancy Hayward, Betsy Jane Wood, Wm. A. Bristow,
Julie Ann Evans, Sarah Bright, and Nettie McGinnis.
And I also direct my Executor to dispose of my personal property
by public sale or otherwise as he may see best, and after all
legally expenses being paid, he shall divide the remainder
equally amongst any heirs above named and also Mary Ann
Bristow and Larkin Bristow, son of Jerome Bristow, deceased,
and Nettie McGinnis. I also nominate and appoint
James Wood my Executor of this my last will and Testament.
In testimony hereof, I have hereunto set my hand and seal
this the 10th day of August one Thousand Eight hundred and seventy
four (1874) Larkin Bristow
Signed and acknowledged by said Larkin Bristow as his
last will and Testament in our presence, and signed by us in

Bartholomew Wood
An addition made to the within Testament by Larkin
Bristow on the 20th day of September 1874 and reads as follows.
In regard to the land owned by said Larkin Bristow at the
time herein to wit: Ten acres in the N. E. Corner of the South
West quarter of section Ten (10) and the West half of the East half
of the South West quarter of section Ten (10) Town five (5)
range nine (9) West and ten acres of land in the flat

Larkin Bristow to Will continued
along L. T. Moors land and this is to say, I want the last
mentioned ten acres in the flat to be sold, and the two first
mentioned and described tracts of lands to be divided equally in
Value between my daughter Mary Ann and Grand son Larkin
Bristow son of Jerome Bristow deceased,. after all my just debts
are paid I want my Executor to divide the balance equally among
any other heirs mentioned on the other page, except my daughter
Nancy Ann Hayward shall receive as much more as the rest.

Warrick County Be it remembered that on the tenth day
of October 1877 James Wood and Gerhard
Meyer two of the subscribing Witnesses to the within and foregoing
last will and codicil and Testament of Larkin Bristow late of
said County, deceased personally appeared before A. J. Honeycutt,
Clk of the Circuit Court of Warrick County, in the State of Indiana
and being duly sworn by the clerk of said Court, upon his oath declare
and testified as follows, that is to say; that on the 20th day of
September
1874, they saw the said Larkin Bristow sign his name to said
instrument in writing, as and for his last will and testament, and
that this deponent at the same time heard the said Larkin Bristow
declare the said instrument in writing to be his last will and
testament, and that the said instrument in writing was at the
said time at the request of the said Larkin Bristow and with
his consent attested and subscribed by the said James Wood & Gerhard
Meyer in the presence of said testator, and in the presence of
each other as subscribing Witnesses thereto, and that the said Larkin
Bristow was, at the time of the signing and subscribing of said
instrument in writing as aforesaid, of full age, (that is more that
twenty one years of age), and of sound and disposing mind and
memory, and not under any Coercion or restraint, as the said
deponent verily believes, and further deponent says not.

Larkin Bristow to Will Continued
Certify that the within annexed Will and Testament of Larkin
Bristow has been duly admitted to probate, and duly proven
by the Testimony of James Wood and G. Meyer
two of the subscribing witnesses thereto, that a Complete record
of said will, and of the testimony of the said James Wood and G. Meyer
in proof thereof, has been by me duly made and recorded
in Book Two at pages 296-297&298 of the record of Wills
of said County.
In attestation of I have hereunto subscribed
my name, and affixed the seal of said Court
and Boonville, this 10th day of October 1877.
