Finding Our Warrick County, IN Ancestors
submitted by Larry Laswell
James Laswell, enlisted
and served in Company I, 25th Indiana Infantry. He enlisted on September
12, 1862, in Evansvile, and was mustered out on June 4, 1865 in, I
believe, Louisville. I do not know his rank. Apparently he was wounded
at some point, but returned to active duty.
Although he was born in 1826 in Kentucky but reared in Warrick County.
He died there in 1897 and is buried at Maple Grove Cemetery in
Boonville. His wife was named Nancy who is also buried at Maple Grove.
