CORNEAL MCCORMICK born 1830 in Henderson KY to a Scotch Irish family.
Orphaned at a early age overcame his early childhood difficulties to
become an industrious and talented man. He acquired a classical
education with a love of music that lasted his lifetime. He organized an
orchestra of young people who met in his grocery business. His handmade
violins were said to be true and exact copies of the genuine old
Cremona. He became famous for his violin craft His band of young
musicians was in demand a public gatherings. He died in 1904 and is
buried at Rose Hill.
