State of Indiana, Warrick County, Will Book 4. Pages 4-5
Last Will and Testament of America Jane Morgan, Deceased. Probated: 1
July 1897
I, America Jane Morgan, of Boonville, of the County of Warrick, in the
State of Indiana, do make and publish this my last Will and Testament;
that is to say:
I will, bequeath and devise to my beloved son, Alvah J. Morgan, all my
estate and property, of every kind and description, which I may own at
the time of my death both Real and Personal. He the said Alvah J.
Morgan, to have the same infer simple.
My said son shall pay and discharge all my debts.
My said son shall pay to my other son, Charles Morgan, One ($1.00)
Dollar; and he shall also pay to my daughter Susan L. McCulla, One
($1.00) Dollar; and also pay to my daughter Sarah Catherine Brown, One
($1.00) Dollar.
The reason why I wish my said son Alvah J. Morgan, above named to have
the whole of my estate at my death, with the exception of items two and
three, is because of his uniform kindness to me, and care for my
happiness and comfort; and the support and love he has rendered and
manifested towards me, and which I believe he will continue to render up
to my death if he shall so long live; and also the uniform kindness
which he rendered to his grandmother (his father's mother) Sally
Lankford deceased.
In testimony whereof I hereunto set my hand this 10th day of December
1895.

The above Testatrix, America Jane Morgan, signed her name to the above
Will in our presence, and we signed the same in her presence, and in the
presence of each other, as attesting witnesses thereto as her request
this 10th day of December 1895.

State of Indiana, Warrick County, ss: Before me, John W. Perigo, Clerk
of the Circuit Court, personally came George M. Shafer, one of the
subscribing witnesses to the foregoing last will and testament of
America Jane Morgan late of Warrick County, Indiana, deceased, and being
duly sworn on oath says that he was present at the execution of said
last will; that the same was duly executed; that at the time of the
execution thereof, said testatrix was of full age to devise her
property, of sound mind and memory and not under any coercion or
restraint; that said testatrix requested himself and John C. Shafer and
C. M. Heandy to sign said will as witnesses thereto which they
accordingly did in the presence of said testatrix and in the presence of
each other as subscribing witnesses thereto.

Subscribed and sworn to before me this 1st day of July 1897. John W.
Perigo, Clerk.
State of Indiana, Warrick County, ss: I, John W. Perigo, Clerk of the
Warrick Circuit Court, do hereby certify that the above and foregoing
last will and testament of America Jane Morgan late of Warrick County,
State of Indiana, deceased, was this day duly admitted to probate and
record, and the proof thereof duly made by George M. Shafer, one of the
subscribing witnesses thereto, which said will, together with such
proof, have been duly recorded in Record of Will No.4 Page 4 & 5, in
this office.
