Finding Our Warrick County, IN Ancestors

The land patents are the same as the 1880 township maps that are
transcribed. The only difference is that these are a lot older and
before so many people moved in. When people hit a dead end in their
research the land patents are a good source of trying to find more
information. For instance if Brown lives next to Smith then there's a
good possibility that Brown and Smith are related somehow. Most people
don't understand the land patents and I for one was one of them. They
only research the surnames that are known to them, when the ones that
are least obvious could lead them back to another place. Click on the
