Services confined to guard of coast bordering Delaware Bay. Called out frequently by his Capt. but only for a few days at a time. Order Book No.3. p296, Warrick Co., Ind., gives affidavit for pension

Musgrave, Samuel Revolutionary War, Pennsylvania Military, born 1747, Lancaster Co., Penn. He enlisted July 1776 in "Cannonkachick" Settlement, Cumberland, Co., Penn. Served 3 mos. as Pril. in Capt. Patrick Jack's Penn, CO. Enlisted in July 1777, served 3 mos, as a Pri. in Capt. George Crawford's Co., Col. Irvine's Penn, Regt. and was at the battle of Brandywine. In 1782 served 12 mos as Indian Spy under Lieut. Robert Ritchie in Penn. Troops. Died Sept 2, 1834. Proof Pension Claim W.9211
