The three brothers were coal miners. They originally settled in Kentucky and then moved to Boonville, Warrick County, IN. Robert stayed in Warrick County. John moved back to Kentucky and died in Crittenton Co., KY. After his wife Lucy died, Edward Gough moved back to England and died in Manchester, England.

The Honorable Edward Gough was Robert’s, son. Edward’s son William, a nephew John, and possibly others came to Warrick County during a second migration.
